Meet Dr. Amanda Amaro: Implant Dentist in Laurel, MD
Dr. Amaro was born and raised in Silver Spring, Maryland. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) from the world’s first dental college, The University of Maryland School of Dentistry.
During her dental school career, Dr. Amaro received the Russell Gigliotti Memorial Scholarship, Dennis M. Thome Memorial Scholarship, Gaylord Fund Scholarship, Henry S. Hohouser Memorial Scholarship, and the Maryland State Dental Association Foundation Scholarship. She was inducted into the Gorgas Odontological Honorary Society, Gamma Pi Delta National Prosthodontic Honor Society, and Omricon Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society (membership reserved for the top 12% of the graduating dental class).
Dr. Amaro was selecting during her senior year to participate in an implant prosthodontics clerkship. At the conclusion of her senior year, she was honored with the American College of Prosthodontics Predoctoral Achievement Award and the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award.
Dr. Amaro is dedicated to providing high-quality dentistry using state-of-the-art equipment. Her main priority is patient comfort and satisfaction. At each appointment, she delivers personalized, individual attention. As a former educator, Dr. Amaro is committed to teaching her patients about their oral health conditions. Dr. Amaro is a member of the Maryland State Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Dental Association.
When Dr. Amaro is not practicing dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. On the weekends, Dr. Amaro loves to cook and go for walks in Sligo Creek Park. She also enjoys reading and dining at new restaurants in DC.
